New Jersey Celebrity Fitness Trainer Helps Corporate Executives Lose Weight, Get in Shape

Denville, Morris County NJ personal trainer Carey Yang helps busy corporate executives and managers lose weight, stay fit and get in shape with on-site and in-home personal fitness training and coaching services.
In Home Personal Training for Corporate Couch Potatoes
“Don’t have time… too busy…tired all the time… meetings…traveling.. kids…don’t know what to do…don’t know what to eat…I’ve tried everything but they didn’t work, etc. You name it. It’s not your fault,” says Carey Yang, a certified persona trainer and fitness expert in New Jersey.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
“We all are just so busy, work, family, kids, parents, or something, constantly on the go checking text messages, phone messages, and facebook messages. The world around us seems to be getting smaller and smaller. The distance between us seems to be far than ever before although connecting by computer networks,” Yang says.
Yang adds, I have been helping many busy corporate executives, managers and professionals overcome their excuses for not exercising, losing weight and getting in shape. On-site or in-home personal training is the best way to deliver such personal and customized fitness training and nutrition coaching services on demand.
In-home personal trainer travels to the client and trains in a private setting at a time of convenience to client. It saves travel time, excuses for not exercising, and distractions from training in public places. No gym membership is required. Personal training is recommended if you have orthopedic conditions, surgeries, medications, or other medical complication because you can work with a trainer at your fitness level and at your pace.
In-home personal fitness training is also great for stay-at-moms who can’t leave their small children, seniors who are not keen to driving, or people who are intimidated by going the gym.
Accountability and motivation is another plus in-home personal trainers bring to the program. People are all busy and distracted by many things. An in-home personal trainer would coaching, hold your hands through the journey, overcome any obstacles and keep you on track.
Hiring an in-home personal trainer is a significant investment in your health and fitness. By providing personalized programs that are convenient, consistent, and customized to your needs and goals, an in-home personal trainer will ensure that you get the return you are looking for in less time and with less frustration than trying to do it on your own.
“You don’t have to do it alone. In-home personal trainers can help you, support you and train you.” Yang says.

Top 10 Waistline-Friendly Foods to Lose that 10 Pounds

Avocados
The cholesterol-lowering monounsaturated fat in these green health bombs can help keep your body strong and pain free. University of Buffalo researchers found that competitive women runners who ate less than 20 percent fat were more likely to suffer injuries than those who consumed at least 31 percent. Peter J. Horvath, Ph.D., a professor at the university, speculates that the problem is linked to extreme low-fat diets, which weaken muscles and joints. "A few slices of avocado a day are a great way to boost fat for women who are fat shy," says Leslie Bonci, R.D., director of sports nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Bananas
Thanks to bananas' high potassium content, peeling one is a speedy solution to that stitch in your side. While a lack of sodium is the main culprit behind muscle cramps, studies show potassium plays a supporting role: You need it to replace sweat losses and help with fluid absorption. Bananas are also packed with energizing carbohydrates. One medium-size fruit has 400 milligrams of potassium and as many carbs (29 grams) as two slices of whole-wheat bread.
Berries
USDA researchers recently placed fresh berries on their list of the 20 foods richest in antioxidants. Just a handful of blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries is an excellent source of these potent nutrients, which protect muscles from free radical damage that might be caused by exercise. Shop for berries by the shade of their skin: The deeper the color, the healthier the fruit.
Carrots
Close your eyes and they almost taste like crunchy candy. Carrots pack complex carbs that provide energy to muscles and potassium to control blood pressure and muscle contractions, says Leslie Bo.
Whole Grain Cereal
Looking for something to nosh before you hit the gym? Raid your cereal stash. The healthiest brands contain endurance-boosting complex carbs and muscle-building protein. Sixty minutes before a workout, fuel up with a 200-calorie snack: ¾ cup of whole-grain cereal with 4 ounces of fat-free milk. "When you eat something before exercising, you have more energy, so you can work out harder and perhaps longer. And you'll be less likely to overeat afterward," says Leslie Bonci, R.D.
Chicken Thighs
Skimp on iron and zinc and your energy will flag. Cooking up some juicy chicken thighs or turkey drumsticks is the best way to get more of both. "Dark-meat poultry is significantly lower in fat than red meat yet has all the iron, zinc, and B vitamins that women need in their diets," says Seattle sports nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D., author of Power Eating.
Hummus
Complex carbohydrates, protein, and unsaturated fats—all the right elements to fuel activity—meet in one healthy little 70-calorie, 3-tablespoon package. Plus, hummus is often made with olive oil, which contains oleic acid—a fat that helps cripple the gene responsible for 20 to 30 percent of breast cancers, according to Northwestern University researchers.
Eggs
Don't skip the yolk. One egg a day supplies 215 milligrams of cholesterol—not enough to push you over the 300-milligram daily cholesterol limit recommended by the American Heart Association. Plus, the yolk is a good source of iron, and it's loaded with lecithin, critical for brain health, says nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D. What does brain power have to do with exercise? Try doing a sun salutation without it.
Chocolate Milk
There's way more to milk than just calcium. In fact, it's a damn near perfect food, giving you a lot of valuable energy while keeping your calorie count low, says nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D. The chocolate kind is loaded with calcium, vitamins, and minerals just like the plain stuff, but new studies confirm that milk with a touch of cocoa is as powerful as commercial recovery drinks at replenishing and repairing muscles.
Salmon
Great for heart health, but here's an added twist: New studies are suggesting that monounsaturated fats and omega-3 fats might help lessen abdominal fat. It's too soon to understand the link, but "this could be particularly good for women working to tone their core," says nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D.

War Against Obesity is National Issue

Fighting against rising epidemic obesity is a national warfare declared by Morris County NJ personal trainer, fitness expert and diet coach Care Yang.

Obese Pot Belly

National obesity rate keeps rising with no stop in sight. According to new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 32 million more Americans will become obese by 2030, upping obesity rates to 42 percent of the U.S. population

The report also predicts that the proportion of Americans who are severely obese, meaning more than 100 pounds overweight, will reach 11 percent, about double the current rate. The damage is $550 billion of obesity-related health care costs that can be used to build national infrastructure, improve education, enhance job skills training, reduce unemployment rate, and stimulate economy.

"This is a sad story to read," says Carey Yang,  a certified personal trainer and fitness expert in New Jersey.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

About 34 percent of adults are currently obese, creating a whole host of expensive, chronic health problems, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

"This is a war and we have to fight together as a nation," Yang says. "It has to start with youth. We know that about 50 percent of severe obesity in adults is consequence of obesity in childhood. Currently about 17 percent of children and adolescents are obese."

Yang says, we have so many government agencies, non-profit organizations, communities and schools involved to fight both adult and childhood obesity with a variety of programs. Even the First Lady Michelle Obama early this year launched a campaign to fight childhood obesity by improving childhood nutrition and physical activity.

“Nutrition and exercise start from home. Parents hold the key to educating their children,” Yang says. “Parents should be good role models for their children. If your children see you slouch in front of the tube and dig into a bag of chips along with a bottle of beer, it’s hard to resist the same lifestyle. Chunky Mom, plus chunky Dad, often equals chunky kids and pets.”

Yang advocates parents and family involvements in fighting against obesity. Health and fitness is truly a family matter. He offers a few solutions to promoting active lifestyle and making healthy choices.

1. Be a positive role model. Parents have to set a good example for themselves and for their children such as regular exercise, being active and eating a healthy balanced die.

2. Set family time to prepare meals and exercise together. Research shows that families eating and exercising together also stay closer.

3. Assign household chores. Children can learn the value of responsibility by sharing active household chores while increasing physical activity.

4. Limit sedentary activities. Watching TV and playing electronic games have taken so much time and opportunity out of moving around and exercising. Studies have shown that reducing TV time is associated with reductions in body weight and body fat.

It’s a day-to-day process and a series of repeated small steps that add up to awesome health habits. “Every time you choose the vegetables over the chips, a walk over a drive, and an active game over T.V., you’ve just made another donation to yourself and to your families lifetime health and fitness fund,” Yang says.

Latest Health Poll Results Announced for 2012 New Year's Resolutions

So what's on your list of New Year's resolutions?

When the New Year's parties end, a lot of us are left with some tough promises to keep.

The latest NPR-Thomson Reuters Health Poll is revealing what Americans are making their New Year's resolutions.

The telephone poll of more than 3,000 adults across the country was conducted during the first half of December. The margin for error is plus or minus 1.8 percentage points. Click here to read the questions and complete results.

How much did people want to lose? Almost half of people with dieting in mind wanted to drop 10 to 29 pounds. About 21 percent wanted to shed between 30 and 49 pounds.

Fifty one percent of all respondents  make a resolution to exercise more. Thirty five percent pledge to lose weight and 9% of smokers  make a resolution to quit smoking.

Some people have had a lot of practice with their vows to do better. A little more than a third of people have resolved to lose weight at least once in the past five years. Among those who have promised themselves they'd shed a few pounds, 38 percent made that resolution five years in a row.

Making a resolution is the easy part. How well do people actually do? Overall, 57 percent of respondents who wanted to lose weight in the past told us they'd reached their goal.

Quitting smoking is more challenging. Among people who had vowed to quit smoking at least once in the past five years, only 36 percent said they had succeeded.

Now, we have to admit that we wondered how accurate people's reports of success on their goals might be. The folks at Practice Fusion, a supplier of electronic medical record systems for doctors' offices, gave us another way of looking at things.

The company combed through a sample of real-world data from doctors' records, including the weights of more than 21,000 patients measured in 2010 and again in 2011. There's a lot of people who are losing some weight. Overall, about 46 percent of people lost some weight. On average, it was about 7 pounds from one year to the next.

Now the Practice Fusion data are from people who saw their doctors regularly, and we don't know how that lines up with respondents to our poll. After looking at the poll's findings and his own company's data, you might not reach your ambitious New Year's health goal, but it's still worth a try. You may lose a little weight, which is better than none at all.

7 Steps to Making and Keeping New Year's Resolutions Revealed by NJ Weight Loss Coach

For millions of Americans who are suffering from "New Year's Resolution Syndrome" now can find their ultimate cure from Morris County, NJ personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang. "New Year's Resolutions syndrome is an epidemic disease in different context in that people are making the same-old-but-never-worked New Year's resolutions over and over.  It's insane to expect different and better results by doing the same old," Yang says.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC -- a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

Weight and diet is on the top 3 New Year's Resolutions for most people. Health and fitness is the case where haste makes waste, as the old saying goes. Many people start the new year with good momentum, then lose steam by the end of January. By the end of January, one-third of people quit. Only half people still stay on their New Year's resolutions after 6 months. That's a dismal statistics.

Before you jump in to make another round of New Year's resolutions, spend some quiet time by yourself to review what you have accomplished this past year and what the mistakes you made.

The majority of people don't learn enough from their mistakes or their accomplishments. It's like everyone is simply plugging along with their heads down.

Instead of repeating the same old day over and again, most people seem to repeat the same outlook, approach, and strategies.

You and I both know that no matter how good or bad your results were this year - you can always do better.

The single biggest key to improving both your performance and your results seems to go ignored by almost everybody. If you want to be at the top of your game you absolutely must review, analyze, and learn from what has already happened.

Step 1. Identify your three greatest accomplishments

Even if this year was a challenging year for you, odds are if you look close enough there's something somewhere to be proud of.

Step 2. Analyze what you learned from each accomplishment

Now that you have identified your three greatest accomplishments, go back to each one. This time though identify exactly what you learned or were reminded of by each of them.

Step 3. Identify your biggest disappointments

Practically every company and individual resists analyzing their mistakes. That's a shame because this is where the best learning comes from.

Step 4. Analyze what you learned from each failure or disappointment

No matter how great everything in life is going - we all make mistakes. The trick here is to really analyze them, what preceded them, what could you have done differently, and how can you prevent them in the future.

Step 5. Identify how you limited yourself last year and how can you stop

Were there certain actions you took or didn't take that came back to haunt you? In order to make sure you don't limit yourself again - you need to bring these self-defeating actions to the surface, confront them, and most importantly determine what you must do differently to make sure you don't make the same mistakes all over again.

Step 6. Pragmatically review the information you have gathered

The goal of this exercise is not simply to know yourself and your business better but to actually use the information to make certain next year far surpasses this year.

What are the big takeaways from answering each question? What do you know about yourself or your business that you didn't realize or weren't thinking about?

Obviously, having this list isn't going to do it all, you still need to take this new knowledge and use it.

Fortunately, that's what the last question is centered around. And here it is...

Step 7: Use this Information to amaze yourself next year

The purpose here is to build in to your schedule, your interactions, your management style or whatever else you've surfaced in the previous questions and build yourself a new better approach.

The final step is to incorporate it into a plan for the next year. Wish you the best luck!

An Open Letter to NJ Governor Chris Christie on Losing Weight, Getting Fit and Healthy

An open letter to New Jersey Governor Mr. Chris Christie from Top Morris County, New Jesrey Personal Trainer Carey Yang

Dear Mr. Governor Christie,

I know it’s not feeling good to be criticized in public about your weight. It’s even worse to be publicized and ridiculed in the political arena and media all over the places.

Truth to be told, you know you have to lose weight, improve your health , and get in better shape for yourself, for your family and kids, for New Jersey residents and voters, and possibly for all U.S. people if you decide to run for U.S. President some day.

I don’t need to repeat the scientific study, research data or statistics to convince you. You know you have to do it.

We know you’ve been trying fo years. Your struggling with weight control. exercise and diet is not uncommon. Many many Americans share similar challenges in combating overweight, obesity and a host of related health issues. As a result, our nation’s healthcare cost has risen rapidly.

Great leaders set a good and strong example for demonstrating their integrity and characters. They walk the talk, not just talk to talk. It would be an inspiration to all Americans if you step up the plate, keep your promise, show your discpline and results.

People have compared you and your weight with President Obama. He has finally kicked his smoking habit.

It may not the right time for you to run for U.S. President. However, it’s TIME for you to run for your own health. In fact, there is no right time, good time or bad time to lose weight, exercise and eat healthy. The only thing you have to do is to decide. Make your decision. Commit to your decision. Set up a strategic game plan. Execute the plan and follow through.

You may have personal trainer before and may still have one. Today, I’d like to make you an unsolicted, nonpartisan, and sincere offer.

Please allow me to be your personal trainer and fitness coach, to help you lose weight, get in good shape!

The decsison is yours. Let’s talk!

A happy client shares her bridal shape-up success story after training with Morris County NJ's #1 In-Home Personal Trainer Carey Yang.

"100% wedding-dress confident. Carey helps me get into the best shape of my life and ready for my wedding!"

To shape up and look my best for my wedding, I trained with Carey for about 3 months. The results are better than I expected. In addition to the hard-core workout with Carey, I learned valuable nutritional education, diet plan and healthy eating habit. I lost a couple of inches on my thighs, my arms, and around my waist and got rid of some cellulite in my trouble area. I have dropped 6 to 7% body fat just in time to fit my wedding dress perfectly. It’s not always easy as I was so busy with work and wedding planning. I wanted to quit so many times. But Carey is always enthusiastic and energetic. He encourages me and helps me get back on track. His workout routines are always innovative and effective that I feel refreshing and every muscle is working hard all the time. I feel particularly confident and strong from the fusion workout mixed in kickboxing, yoga and Pilates. I highly recommend Carey if you want to see results. – Elizabeth M., Parsippany, NJ

[Ask the Weight Loss Coach] How can I tone up my flabby, jiggly arms?

This question comes from a middle-aged woman and it's a very common troublespot for most women. They usually refer to it as the infamous "underarm jiggle" or "bat wings" where excess fat covers their triceps - the muscles on the back of their arms.

Well, first thing first. If you're at least 10 pounds over your target weight, your first priority is to reduce overall body fat by creating caloric deficit. Nutrition is the foundation in losing weight and building muscles. A fit body and toned arms involve an integrated combination of healthy lifestyle habits, mindful nutrition plan, consistent strength training, regular cardio exercise, and unstoppable quest to improve yourself.

As with any other body part, you can't spot-reduce your jiggly arms. But you can target-train your arms by strength training and building tricep muscles. It would also help metabolize the fat cells locally. There are many strength training protocols and workout routines you can follow.

For starters, compound or multi-joint exercises involve more than one joint in the movement. For example, triceps press such as  dumbbell press (flat bench, close grip) exercise works on your triceps and also front side of your shoulder and chest muscles. You can lift and press more weight with compound exercise. By the way, pushups work your triceps too. Just keep your elbows close to your body.

Isolation or single-joint exercises involve only one joint in the movment. For example, triceps extension such as dumbbell tricep kickback works only on your triceps. Compared to related compound exercise for triceps, you can lift much lower weight with isolation exercise.

A good approach to strength training for your toned arms would be a combination of both compound exercise and isolation exercise. You should also change up your workout routines by varying exercises types, exercise sequence, number of sets and repetitions.

Remember, small changes can make a big difference. One step at a time.

* Always consult with a health care professional before beginning a new exercise program.

Learn from The Dedicated and Committed Losing Weight Successfully

If you're trying to lose weight or stick to a consistent exercise program, what you may notice is how many things stand in the way of your goals.

How are you supposed to exercise when you have to meet with a client, run the kids to the dentist, cut the grass, watch your favorite TV show and take out the trash?

What you may not realize is that fitting in exercise is a matter of how you think and not what’s on your schedule. Thinking like an exerciser can increase your odds of success and put you in the right frame of mind for making the choice to exercise.

1. Look for opportunities, not excuses. While a non-exerciser may look at situations like traveling or working late as reasons to skip their workouts, exercisers actually seek out ways to exercise, even if it seems impossible.

Imagine a non-exerciser and an exerciser on a business trip:

The Non-Exerciser packs his workout clothes, thinking, "Maybe if I get a break, I’ll squeeze in a workout." Translation: "I’m bringing my workout clothes so I’ll feel good about myself, but I’ll never actually wear them."

The Exerciser packs his workout clothes, thinking, "I have meetings all day, so I’ll get up extra early and get in a short workout beforehand." There’s no ‘maybe’ about it, even if it means working out at a time that isn’t comfortable.

What the exerciser knows is that they have to commit to their workouts, even if their schedule works against them. They're willing to make the effort, even if it means a workout session that isn’t ideal.

How to Think Like an Exerciser:

Act as if exercise is a priority. Is exercise an afterthought? Something you only do when everything goes as planned? If so, practice putting it at the top of your to-do list. How would you plan your day if you knew you had to work everything else around your workouts? Just changing how you think about exercise can change whether you actually do it.

Act as if everything counts. New or non-exercisers often think they have to do a certain type of workout (e.g., lung-busting workouts that last for three hours) for it to ‘count.’ Exercisers count everything, whether it’s a few jumping jacks or pushups in a hotel room or taking a brisk walk during a lunch break.

Plan ahead. Rather than waiting for the perfect time to exercise, work with the schedule you already have. Even if you can only find 10 minutes, you’ll burn calories and improve your health much more than if you didn’t move at all.

2. View exercise as a necessity rather than an indulgence. Another difference between how exercisers and non-exercisers think is how they perceive exercise. A non-exerciser may see it as a chore, something that takes away from the rest of her day. An exerciser, on the other hand, looks at her workouts as a necessity – something that she needs to make her day better.

Imagine an exerciser and a non-exerciser facing an unexpected visit from a mother-in-law:

The Non-Exerciser panics and thinks, "There’s no way I can exercise if she’s coming. How will I have the time to iron the sheets, drink a bottle of wine and scrub the floors with a toothbrush?"

The Exerciser panics and thinks, "I will never get my guilt-deflectors working if I don’t exercise. I better squeeze in a quick run and, if the house isn’t clean enough, I’ll just start a small fire to distract her."

How to Think Like an Exerciser:

Think of exercise as your energy source. Believe it or not, taking time out to exercise can actually give you more energy and focus for your day.

Take advantage of your workout time. When you have a busy day or an unexpected visitor, your workout time may be the only quiet time you get. Taking a walk or run will give your mind, and stress levels, a break and you’ll be better prepared for what’s to come.

Learn how to motivate yourself. Exercisers find motivation rather than waiting for it to happen. If you've got a lot to do, use that as an impetus to get moving. The stronger you are and the more endurance you have, the more you can get done.

3. Find ways to move all day long. Non-exercisers and exercisers alike tend to spend a lot of time sitting each day, but many exercisers find ways to be active above and beyond their regular exercise routines. Whether it's taking more walks, parking at the end of the parking lot or taking the stairs at work, exercisers know that any movement can generate more energy and momentum.

Imagine an exerciser and a non-exerciser facing a flight delay:

The Non-Exerciser stays at the gate, thinking, "I better save my strength to fight the other passengers for overhead bin space. I already have my eye on that woman and her giant suitcase."
The Exerciser grabs her bag and starts walking, thinking, "I'm going to be on that plane for at least two hours and probably squished in the middle seat between two linebackers. Better get a walk in while I can."
How to Think Like an Exerciser:

Stand up. Sitting can actually shut down your metabolism. Stand up whenever you can – while on the phone, watching TV, opening your mail or taking a break from work.

Invent reasons to move. Leave something in your car and take the stairs to get it. Make a rule that you have to walk around the parking lot at work three times before you can go in. Sit on an exercise ball when you're at the computer or watching TV. Eventually, these movements become habits and, before you know it, you're moving more than you're sitting.

4. Look at Exercise as a tool for getting what you want. Exercisers know that working out isn't just for weight loss, but a tool they can use to find balance, more time for the things they enjoy and a way to keep up with life with fewer injuries, illnesses and other things that keep them from functioning at their best.

Imagine an exerciser and a non-exerciser with a tight, aching back after a long day at work:

The Non-Exerciser is exhausted and decides to skip her planned workout, thinking, "My back hurts, so I probably shouldn't exercise. I'll just go home and put my feet up, which will allow my husband to attend to my needs more easily."

The Exerciser is exhausted, but decides to go through with his workout, thinking, "My back hurts from sitting for too many hours and my butt is starting to look a lot like my office chair. A workout will loosen things up and keep me from completely falling apart."

How to Think Like an Exerciser

View exercise as a timesaver. While you may see exercise as something that takes away from your time, it can actually save you time in the long run. A little exercise every day can help manage aches and pain, fatigue and offer protection from more serious illnesses like diabetes and cancer. If your schedule is overloaded, wouldn't you rather spend a little time each day exercising rather than hours in a doctor's waiting room, a hospital or in line for a prescription you might be able to avoid?

View exercise as a sanity-saver. Exercise is one of the few activities you can do that can increase your confidence, boost your mood and make you feel good about yourself all at the same time. It can also help manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. If you have trouble getting started, think about how you'll feel at the end of your workout.

View exercise as a body-saver. If you have an aching back or tight shoulder muscles, you may mistakenly think you need more rest, when what your body craves is movement. In fact, exercise is a great way to manage and prevent back pain along with the other aches and pains that happen when we sit for hours at a time.

Shifting your thinking from a non-exerciser's point of view to an exerciser's point of view isn't easy. That's where Personal Best can help. Not only do we teach you what exercises are best for your lifestyle, we help you look at your daily tasks and choices with a different attitude and an eye toward your overall goals in life -- feeling good, having more energy and getting satisfaction out of your accomplishments.

Fitting in exercise isn't just a function of weight loss, but a way to improve your overall quality of life. Changing how you think may be your first step in changing how to live for the better.  Don't forget, think like an exerciser!

What Is HCG Diet? Does It Really Work to Lose Weight?

HCG Diet is another recent hot diet, highly touted by many celebrity physicians on TV shows and in books. So what is it?

HCG, abbreviation of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, is a hormone produced during pregnancy. "HCG Diet involves daily self-administered shots of HCG and a 500-calorie-a-day diet," said Dr. Louis Aronne, an obesity expert at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

So does HCG diet work to help lose weight? "The short answer is no," said Dr. Aronne. "HCG works by releasing stored fat - which your body typically uses only when you're pregnant or in starvation mode - into the bloodstream for use as energy."

However, it's a very expense placebo. A 23-day supply costs about $500. FDA has deemed HCG diet fraudulent and illegal.

Every study done on HCG has shown no it's effect on weight. It may help you lose a few pounds due to strictly low calorie intake. It's not sustainable for the long term. You're gain the weight back plus more.

Top 10 Reasons To Lose Just 10 Pounds #6 Reduce Joint Pain

America is in need of a lifestyle change. It can be intimidating; however, the benefits of weight loss aren’t reserved for those who drop 30, 50 or 100 pounds. By losing just 10 pounds, you can prevent deadly illness, alleviate daily pain, and improve your quality of life.

When it comes to losing weight, changing your life isn’t as difficult as you may think. New research has indicated that even a small weight loss can result in enormous gains and potentially life-saving changes. You can reduce your risk of heart attack, cancer, stroke, dementia, and more – by losing just 10 pounds.

Are you ready to change your life? Read on to learn all you have to gain from losing just 10 pounds:

Reason #6. Reduced Joint Pain

Being overweight puts huge pressure on your joints. For each extra pound of excess weight on your body, you add 3 times that amount of pressure on your knees. This means that 10 extra pounds equates to 30 pounds of pressure grinding down. And when walking up stairs, multiply your extra weight by 7. Thirty pounds of pressure just became 70 pounds. Over time, this force wears away your cartilage, leaving an area of arthritis.

As you lose weight and reduce the pressure on your joints, the cushioning between your bones will build back up. A 10 pound weight loss over 10 years may result in as much as a 50% decrease in your odds of developing osteoarthritis.

Top 10 Reasons To Lose Just 10 Pounds #5 Reduce Risk for Sleep Apnea

With the help of five experts, Dr. Oz has launched JUST 10 campaign to help Americans lost just 10 pounds and get on healthy lifestyle.

America is in need of a lifestyle change. It can be intimidating; however, the benefits of weight loss aren’t reserved for those who drop 30, 50 or 100 pounds. By losing just 10 pounds, you can prevent deadly illness, alleviate daily pain, and improve your quality of life.

Are you ready to change your life? Read on to learn all you have to gain from losing just 10 pounds:

Reason #5. Reduced Risk for Sleep Apnea

When you are overweight, extra tissue thickens your windpipe wall, narrowing your airway. Consequently, the size of your tongue and tonsils become a threat to the narrowed airway – especially when you are sleeping, and can cause a life-threatening condition known as sleep apnea. In this illness, an unsuccessful effort to take in air results in a dangerously low oxygen level while you’re sleeping. Your brain shocks your body awake to keep you alive. If you have severe sleep apnea, you can be woken up hundreds of times a night.

Losing just 10 pounds can widen your windpipe, helping you sleep through the night and reduce your risk for developing sleep apnea. And when you sleep well, your levels of leptin (the hormone that signals when you’ve had enough to eat) rise. So, a good night’s sleep will help you lose even more weight.

Top 10 Reasons To Lose Just 10 Pounds #4 Reduce Risk for Dementia

When it comes to losing weight, changing your life isn’t as difficult as you may think. New research has indicated that even a small weight loss can result in enormous gains and potentially life-saving changes. You can reduce your risk of heart attack, cancer, stroke, dementia, and more – by losing just 10 pounds.

Are you ready to change your life? Read on to learn all you have to gain from losing just 10 pounds:

Reason #4. Reduced Risk for Dementia

Nearly half of Americans have too much visceral fat, the abdominal fat that surrounds your internal organs, visible in their protruding bellies. The danger is this: visceral fat contains cells that release inflammation-causing chemicals in the body, which can cause memory loss and increase your chances of developing dementia.

Additionally, 2 symptoms of obesity, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, can put you at risk for stroke. Some strokes, known as “silent strokes” can occur without symptoms – but each time, blood is cut off to the brain, resulting in damaged, dementia-prone brain tissue. High blood pressure and cholesterol can also increase the likelihood that you’ll develop Alzheimer’s disease.
